Constituency Office Manager and Casework coordinator Grade 2 (Full Time) Hours: 37 p/w Salary: £36,124 per annum People Before Profit is an organisation that promotes socialist politics, North and South. It currently has 1 MLA and 2 TDs in the south, as well as a number of councillors at local government level. People Before Profit combines elected representation with the politics of people power and community campaigning from below to fight for social justice, equality, eco-socialism and against all forms of oppression. Gerry Carroll is the sole PBP representative in the Assembly and has been elected since 2016 in the constituency of Belfast West. This post will assist Gerry in his Assembly operation in a capacity of policy and communications officer. This post involves working alongside the MLA to maintain their constituency office by coordinating administrative and casework. This role reports to the MLA and the post will be based in the constituency office in west Belfast. For a full breakdown of this role see the accompanying job description. Essential Criteria Demonstrate experience of two years working on casework in a similar office environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. An ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the policies of People Before Profit. Preferred Criteria Record of campaigning or organising that compliments the outlook of MLA Gerry Carroll.
