Configuration Manager
Our client, operating in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Configuration Manager on a contractual basis. This role involves playing a critical part in the final phase of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certification for a first-of-type civil aircraft radio communication system. We are looking for an experienced and agile Configuration Manager to help close configuration data gaps and ensure readiness for upcoming audits and FCA/PCA with the customer.Key Responsibilities:Review and assess existing configuration management data and recordsIdentify gaps, inconsistencies, or non-compliances in configuration dataUpdate, correct, and complete configuration records to support certification and audit readinessEnsure configuration data aligns with CAA requirements and internal processesSupport preparation for external audits, FCA/PCA, and customer reviewsWork closely with engineering, quality, and programme teams to gather and validate configuration informationProvide clear status updates and highlight risks to schedule or complianceJob Requirements:Proven experience in Configuration Management, ideally within aerospace or regulated engineering environmentsStrong understanding of configuration control, baselines, and change managementExperience supporting audits and regulatory certification activitiesAbility to work independently, at pace, and with minimal supervisionDetail-oriented with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindsetStrong communication skills and ability ..... full job details .....
