Configuration Engineer- PLM- Buckinghamshire- Permanent- 65k The Opportunity We''re seeking an experienced Configuration Engineer to join a leading organisation within the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the management and control of engineering configuration across both legacy and new product development programmes. You''ll be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining configuration management processes while supporting the transition to a SolidWorks Manage PLM environment. Working closely with engineering, quality and project teams, you''ll ensure robust configuration control, effective change management and compliance with customer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Apply aerospace configuration management standards across engineering products and configured items. Manage problem reports, change requests and engineering change notifications using SolidWorks Manage. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of configuration and change management processes. Coordinate and chair Change Control Board (CCB) meetings in line with aerospace configuration best practice. Generate and manage customer approvals and notifications relating to engineering changes. Maintain and audit configuration baselines throughout the product lifecycle. Create and manage dashboards to monitor Change Requests, Problem Reports and Non-Conformance Reports.
