DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a Conference and Events Managerto take the reins of our dynamic events departmentcovering weddings, conferences, corporate functions, and festive Christmas events.As the CandE Manager, you will oversee all aspects of event deliveryfrom planning and staffing to execution and guest satisfaction. Youll work closely with Sales, Kitchen, Front Office, and FandB teams to ensure each event runs smoothly, exceeds expectations, and aligns with Hiltons world-class standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer ExperienceDeliver consistently outstanding service across all eventsAct on guest feedback, complaints, and service audits promptlyEnsure all team members are service-focused and professionalOperations and Event DeliveryManage the full operational lifecycle of weddings, conferences, banqueting events, and festive functionsOversee function bars and cellar operations for all eventsEnsure departmental procedures, policies, and brand standards are consistently appliedSupport in other FandB areas as needed during peak periodsFinancial and Business ManagementDrive profitability through effective planning, staffing, stock control, and upsellingManage payroll, costs, and inventory in line with business forecastsPrepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and performance reportsEnsure accurate billing and reconciliation of all event-related chargesLeadership and Team DevelopmentLead, train, and develop the CandE team to deliver exceptional standardsConduct regular team briefings, 1:1s, appraisals, and training plansFoster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team cultureRecruit and onboard new team members in line with Hilton policiesHealth, Safety and ComplianceEnsure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing, and Fire Safety lawsConduct risk assessments and maintain safe working environmentsImplement and act upon hygiene audits and quality checksWhat Were Looking ForExperience managing large events
