Concrete Operative

Job description:

Barker Ross are looking for 2x Concrete Operatives/ Junior Steelfixers/ Nip Hands in Blessington, County Wicklow, Ireland to start ASAP.

Candidates will need experience with Concrete/ Precast or Steelfixing. This job will end in a permanent position for the right candidate.

Description:

Hours: 6am- 4pm (Plenty of Overtime Available!)

Days: Monday- Friday

Pay: -16 P/H + Holiday Pay (-17.93)

Duration: 12 Weeks Temp to Perm

Duties:

• Setting up concrete moulds
• Working from mould drawings and diagrams
• Oiling up the beds and prepping the moulds
• Laying rebar cages in the moulds before the pour
• Tying Rebar Cages
• Reading and working from Steelfixing drawings and measurements
• Using Nips and Tye Guns
• Operating the Overhead Crane
• Using hand and power tools
• Ensuring site is clean and safe at all times
• Heavy lifting and manual labouring

Requirements:

• Must be reliable, hard working and punctual
• Precast Concrete Experience is beneficial
• Experience with Steel fixing or Concrete in any industry is beneficial
• Must have own transport due to location of the site
