The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Concrete Quality Inspector / Concrete Engineer to support a major, high-profile construction development in South Wales.The project involves the delivery of a large-scale indoor entertainment and events venue, requiring exceptional standards of structural quality, technical compliance and attention to detail.This is a specialist, hands-on assignment for an experienced concrete professional with a strong understanding of reinforced concrete, reinforcement detailing, construction specifications and quality inspection.We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently and confidently identify, challenge and resolve quality issues on a live construction site. This is not a graduate or training opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake detailed inspections of reinforced-concrete works before, during and after concrete placement, in accordance with the agreed inspection scope.Inspect reinforcement installations, including bar sizes, spacing, laps, anchorage, couplers, concrete cover and compliance with structural drawings.Read, interpret and apply technical specifications, structural drawings, inspection and test plans (ITPs) and relevant quality documentation.Inspect formwork, embedded items, cast-in components, construction joints and other elements affecting structural concrete quality.Monitor concrete placement, compaction, finishing, curing and protection, as required.Check compliance with specified ..... full job details .....
