Computing Teacher (MPS-UPS + TLR)

Start Date: 2nd October 2026
Contract: Long-term, until the end of the academic year
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a passionate and committed Computing Teacher to join their team from 2nd October 2026 through to the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Computing Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking for a long-term position within a supportive secondary school.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Computing lessons, helping students develop their knowledge and confidence across the curriculum.

• Teach engaging and well-planned Computing lessons across the secondary age range
• Deliver the school''s Computing curriculum effectively
• Plan, prepare and assess student work
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement
• Use a range of teaching strategies and technology to engage students
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Build positive and professional relationships with students and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and department
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
• A strong subject knowledge of Computing/Computer Science
• Experience teaching Computing at secondary level
• The ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential
• The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive department
