Bilfinger UK are currently recruiting a Computer Technician on a Fixed Term contract, working offshore on a 2/3 rotation.Duties
Monitor and maintain the integrity and availability of the installation’s OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology) equipment in accordance with local and statutory standards and requirementsIncluding preventative inspection and maintenance activities
Including troubleshooting and repairs / overhauls and re-commissioningPerform the role of Systems Administrator for the installation’s in-scope systemsFully document all activities of planned and unplanned maintenance within CMMS and equipment recordsUnderstand and comply with the installation’s Safety Case and statutory requirementsReview any proposed IT/OT modifications/work-packs prior to implementation and feedback as appropriateInstall, Issue and update computer software including version control of backups and source codeEnsure adequate spares are kept for critical systems and equipmentFollow Management of Change process for all changes to systems and componentsSpecify parts and equipment for maintenance activities as required and liaise with vendors on behalf of clientProvide real-time feedback on progress/activities/technical issuesDemonstrate a high commitment to the Client Safety Management System and safe systems of workMaintain your own personal training and technical competency for role
Develop trainees and apprentices to support their career developmentAttend FAT/SAT when required.Experience
Good all-round Information Technology background including both OT and IT systems and applicationsProficiency in Multiple Telemetry and process control systems platformProficiency in CMMS systems and their executionGood all-round Electrical and Instrumentation backgroundServer administration and maintenanceBS 7671:2018 certification and experienceUnderstanding and experience working within hazardous areas Issuing, receiving and working within permits on high integrity installationsGood understanding of Cybersecurity Principles and best-practiceCompetent in evaluating and resolving diverse systems issues.Qualifications
