Supply Desk is currently seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Watford. This full-time position is available from September and offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire students in the ever-evolving field of technology.

The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and is committed to delivering a modern, dynamic curriculum that prepares students for the digital world. The successful candidate will be confident teaching Computer Science at Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5.



Job Description:


  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science across KS3andndash;KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).
  • Teach programming, algorithms, data structures, networks, and the ethical impact of technology.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student curiosity and achievement.
  • Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Develop resources and schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Promote digital literacy and support extracurricular computing clubs or coding initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular tech projects and department planning.
  • Uphold the schoolandrsquo;s values and behaviour policy, ensuring a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.



Our ideal candidate will:


  • Hold UK QTS and have experience teaching Computer Science in secondary schools.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Have experience delivering creative, differentiated lessons that cater to a range of learning needs.
  • Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be confident using a range of educational technologies and programming languages (e.g. Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
  • Be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
