Working within an established marine production team, the successful applicant will contribute to the manufacture of high-quality vessels through composite laminating, resin infusion, structural fitting and finishing.Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering plansIdentify and prepare fabrics, resins, gel coats and other composite materialsPrepare moulds and apply gel coats using hand and spray application methodsCarry out wet lay-up, laminating and resin infusion processesPrepare components and consumables for resin infusion and apply vacuum bagging systemsConduct vacuum drop tests, identify leaks and complete remedial workMark out structural component locations using technical drawings and laser equipmentFit composite and plywood structural components, including bulkheads and longitudinalsTrim and fit components using hand tools and workshop machineryComplete structural repairs, filling and fairing to exacting quality standardsInspect work throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with speci...
