Composite OperatorPROFILETo manufacture aircraft components from composite materials which meet design and engineering requirements.KEY DELIVERABLES Manufacture aircraft components from carbon and glass fibre pre-preg materialsUse processing equipment to lay-up and cure composite wing spars and test piecesUse forming presses, drape machines, vacuum presses, automated tape lay and fibre placement machines, laser projection equipment, autoclaves and ovens to manufacture and cure composite sparsPrepare and clean mandrels and cure tooling for manufacture of composite sparsParticipate fully in local continuous improvement activitiesWork in line with Health and Safety site requirements QUALIFICATIONS Experience of assembling and manufacturing production components using drawings and processesExperience in a manual handling work environment KEY SKILLS Ability to assemble and trim composite and ancillary materials to close tolerancesGood hand skills and co-ordinationUnderstand aircraft drawings, limits and quality systemsKnowledge of composite bonding and assembly techniques using pre-preg materialsAbility to operate CNC machines and processesSelf-motivation with good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both alone and in small teamsAbility and willingness to undertake training and understanding of composite manufacturing techniques and processesTo take responsibility to self-certify own workWorking knowledge of IT systems including SAP and Microsoft ..... full job details .....
