Composite Fitter

Salary: -35,000 - -37,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday

We are seeking an experienced Composite Fitter to support the manufacture, repair, and assembly of composite structures within the aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on skills in bonding, riveting, and precision fitting, with experience working to aerospace standards.




Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, and fit aerospace composite components.
• 
  Carry out composite lay-up, trimming, drilling, and finishing operations.
• 
  Perform bonding operations using adhesives, films, and structural bonding techniques.
• 
  Conduct riveting and mechanical fastening to aerospace specification.
• 
  Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• 
  Ensure all components meet required aerospace quality and inspection standards.
• 
  Perform rework and repairs on composite structures as required.
• 
  Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with health & safety procedures.
• 
  Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet delivery deadlines.

Skills & Experience Required

• 
  Previous experience as a Composite Fitter / Laminator / Aircraft Fitter in the aerospace industry.
• 
  Strong competency in bonding, riveting, drilling, and fitting of composite and metallic components.
• 
  Ability to interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• 
  Knowledge of aerospace standards and quality requirements.
