Compliance Technologist (Food QA / Technical)

Do you have experience in Quality Assurance within food or FMCG and a keen eye for detail? If so, Thrive Trowbridge may have the role for you working for our client in the Melksham area who are actively looking to recruit a Compliance Technologist to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

• Product specifications: Preparing, reviewing and maintaining accurate product specifications and technical information.
• Labelling and artwork: Checking product labels and artwork to ensure they meet relevant legislation and customer requirements.
• Supplier compliance: Maintaining supplier records and supporting the collection and review of technical documentation.
• Quality assurance: Carrying out quality checks and helping ensure products meet required standards, including BRC requirements.
• Technical support: Responding to technical queries and working with colleagues, suppliers and customers to resolve issues.
• New Product Development: Supporting the technical and compliance aspects of new products as they progress through development.
• Regulatory compliance: Helping ensure product information and documentation meet the requirements of UK and international markets.

What you will need to succeed:

• You''ll ideally have experience in a Quality Assurance or Technical role within food (chilled) / FMCG.
• A good understanding of food safety, product specifications and labelling requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• An interest in food legislation, labelling and product compliance.
• Knowledge of BRC requirements and experience with New Product Development would be particularly beneficial.
