Compliance Specialist - Customs and Trade

Your new companyA leading international organisation is looking to appoint a Customs and Trade Compliance Specialist to support its UK and Ireland operations. Operating within a complex international supply chain environment, the business holds compliance, governance, and operational excellence at the heart of its success.Your new roleThis is a varied and highly visible role where you will lead customs compliance activities, ensuring adherence to UK, EU and international trade regulations.Key responsibilities include: Managing import and export customs compliance, including classifications, valuations, origin and duty calculations. Maintaining customs controls, governance frameworks and compliance management systems. Leading internal audits and supporting external regulatory reviews. Managing relationships with customs brokers, logistics providers and regulatory authorities. Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing process improvements. Producing compliance reporting, risk assessments and management information. Maintaining customs accreditations and authorisations. Driving process improvement, automation and compliance awareness across the business. Providing expert customs guidance to operational, finance and commercial stakeholders.What you''ll need to succeed Experience within customs, international trade or regulatory compliance.
