Ensure Compliance. Drive Standards. Protect Quality.
Are you an experienced compliance or audit professional looking to make a genuine impact within one of the UK''s leading healthcare providers?
Our client is seeking an Agency Compliance Officer to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of supplier compliance across our temporary workforce, ensuring agency partners consistently meet legislative, contractual and governance requirements that support the safe delivery of care.
Working across a national supplier network, you''ll conduct external compliance audits, identify areas of risk, support continuous improvement and build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive best practice. This is an autonomous role that combines governance, investigation, auditing and supplier engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing analytical thinking with relationship management.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the Compliance function, you will be responsible for auditing agency suppliers that provide temporary staffing services across our client.
You''ll assess supplier compliance against legislation, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and internal quality standards, ensuring the highest levels of governance are maintained throughout the temporary workforce supply chain.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You''ll manage your own audit schedule, travel to supplier locations where required, investigate compliance concerns and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to implement meaningful improvements.
Key Responsibilities
·Conduct comprehensive external audits of agency suppliers against legislative, contractual and organisational standards.
·Review recruitment processes, worker compliance documentation, governance controls and audit trails.
·Identify compliance risks, process weaknesses and opportunities to strengthen supplier performance.
·Produce detailed audit reports with practical, evidence based recommendations.
·Investigate compliance concerns, establish root causes and oversee corrective actions through to completion.
·Build positive working relationships with agency partners, providing guidance on compliance requirements and best practice.
·Maintain accurate audit records and ensure findings are appropriately documented.
·Contribute to the ongoing development of compliance policies, governance frameworks and supplier assurance processes.
·Escalate significant risks where appropriate to protect patient safety and organisational compliance.
About You
We''re looking for an organised, analytical and confident compliance professional who enjoys working independently while influencing stakeholders at all levels.
You''ll ideally have experience within a regulated environment such as healthcare, recruitment, temporary staffing, HR compliance, education or social care.
You''ll also bring:
·Experience conducting external or supplier audits.
·Strong knowledge of compliance, governance and risk management principles.
·Experience reviewing documentation, policies and operational controls against legal or contractual requirements.
·The ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
·Excellent report writing and communication skills.
·Experience investigating compliance issues and monitoring corrective actions.
·A proactive approach with strong planning and organisational skills.
·Previous experience within temporary workforce or recruitment compliance would be highly advantageous.
What''s in it for you!
·Salary of £30,000 to £35,000.
·33 days annual leave including bank holidays, plus your birthday off.
·Option to purchase additional annual leave.
·Career development and professional training opportunities.
·Blue Light Card membership.
·Life Assurance.
·24/7 GP service and second medical opinion.
·Competitive pension contribution.
·A supportive and collaborative working environment with opportunities to develop your career.
