You''ll help the council keep on top of health and safety compliance across all its services, making sure actions from audits, inspections and incidents are followed through. What you''ll be doing:Carrying out planned and unannounced compliance inspections across council servicesChecking that controls in risk assessments and safe systems of work are in placeTracking and reporting on outstanding actions from audits, inspections and investigationsMaintaining a central compliance and action tracking systemAnalysing incident, audit and inspection data to spot trends and risksSupporting accident, incident, near miss and insurance claim investigationsReviewing and quality-assuring risk assessments and safety documentsMonitoring statutory inspection and testing programmesPreparing clear compliance reports for the Lead Resilience Officer and senior managers What you''ll need:Five GCSEs (grade C or above) including English and Maths, or equivalentAt least 3 years'' experience in each of the following:conducting compliance inspectionstracking actions and ..... full job details .....
