Job Title: Regional Compliance Manager

Reporting to: Regions Manager

Location: Sheffield, Leeds or Manchester

The Supply Register are recruiting for a knowledgeable and experienced compliance manager to join our team. The successful applicant will support the Quality and Compliance Manager by contributing to the successes of the wider compliance team and will be responsible for ensuring that candidates across the business are fully vetted and adhere to the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) legislation.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Guide all candidates through all pre-employment checks, including DBS checks, referencing and right to work checks.
  • Ensure candidates are fully vetted and compliant against the DfE, Keeping Children Safe in Education and industry standards
  • Work with the resourcing executive and partnership teams to provide an excellent overall candidate care journey
  • Monitor expiry dates for time sensitive documents and ensure candidate’s vetting is continuously compliant
  • Manage a high volume of candidate files, often with strict deadlines
  • Ensure that candidates are cleared for work in a timely and professional manner
  • Work alongside the Quality & Compliance Manager to develop and manage robust compliance policies and procedures
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation such as KCSiE and APSCo
  • Report compliance concerns and/or breaches to the Quality & Compliance Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the wider compliance team to prepare for audits
  • Consistently aim to refine and improve the candidate journey, making recommendations to management.
  • Responsibility for the final checks and sign off for candidates before they are placed in schools/colleges

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years working in compliance role in education recruitment
  • Knowledge of the Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) legislation
  • Knowledge of the APSCO and/or REC industry standards
  • The confidence and motivation to work independently
  • The ability to work to operate with strict timeframes
  • Have excellent organisation skills to manage a high volume of candidate files
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent attention to detail
