Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the company''s compliance function, ensuring all products, packaging, suppliers, and business processes meet relevant UK, EU, and international regulatory requirements.

Working cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Buying, Product Development, Shipping, Warehousing, Factories, Testing Laboratories, and Customers

A great opportunity to join a successful Product business in Skelmersdale area. They import from the Far East and Europe where they have a showroom as well as in the UK head office. They are a Sedex Member and FSX certified. The business supply a number of retailers in the UK and Europe , everyday and seasonal products.

Description

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the company''s compliance strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all products and packaging comply with applicable UK, EU and international legislation and standards.
• Monitor regulatory developments relating to product safety, packaging, labelling, environmental and sustainability legislation.
• Assess business impact of regulatory changes and lead implementation of required actions.
• Act as the subject matter expert for compliance-related matters across the business.
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and best practices.
• Deliver regular compliance updates, reports and risk assessments to senior leadership.

Profile

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

• Experience within consumer goods, giftware, stationery, seasonal products, homeware or retail sectors.
• Knowledge of retailer compliance requirements.
• Understanding of sustainability legislation, EPR regulations and environmental compliance.
• Experience working with Far East factories and international supply chains.
• Previous people management or leadership experience.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Relevant compliance, quality, regulatory or risk management qualifications.

Job Offer

• Salary between -40,000 and -50,000 dependent on the level of experience.
