Compliance Assistant - US Law Firm

A leading international law firm is seeking a Compliance Assistant to join its London-based Risk and Compliance team. Working as part of a collaborative and dynamic compliance function, you will support the firm''s efforts to meet its anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and broader financial crime obligations. You will work closely with compliance professionals, lawyers, and business services teams across multiple international offices. Key Responsibilities Assist with client due diligence (CDD) and know your client (KYC) investigations. Conduct sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP), adverse media, and financial crime screening using a range of compliance tools. Provide guidance and support to legal and support teams on AML procedures and compliance requirements. Assist with internal audits, compliance investigations, and risk-related projects. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Compliance and Financial Crime team. About You Previous experience within a law firm, compliance, onboarding, conflicts, AML, or risk environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of UK anti-money laundering regulations and SRA requirements. Strong interest in developing a career in legal compliance and financial crime prevention.
