QHSE Manager

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Coventry.
The company specialises in the assembly and supply of shock absorption products used across a range of industries, including elevators, rail and industrial applications.
This is a key role within the business, working closely with a team of around 32 people on site. You will take ownership of the QHSE function, with a particular focus on Quality, while also ensuring high standards across Health & Safety.
You will also have the opportunity to support and develop a member of the existing team, helping them progress into a similar role over time.
The Role:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day QHSE function across site
- Maintain and improve quality standards and processes
- Manage and support internal and external audits
- Ensure Health & Safety standards and procedures are maintained
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Manage and monitor warranties where required
- Identify areas for continuous improvement
- Provide guidance, support and training to colleagues
- Help develop a member of the existing team into a similar QHSE position
- Ensure clear communication of QHSE requirements across the business
- Work independently and use your initiative to prioritise workloads
- Maintain accurate QHSE documentation and records
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of their workload.
You will ideally have:
- Previous QHSE experience, with a strong background in Quality
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety
- Experience managing or supporting internal and external audits
- Experience with warranties would be advantageous
- Peninsula experience would be advantageous
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- A strong-minded, adaptable approach to working in a changing environment
