Compliance and Monitoring Officer

Noble Recruiting is delighted to advertise the role of Compliance and Monitoring Officer on behalf of a local authority. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site, 5 days per week. The Opportunity To support the Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation, regulations, Council policies, procedures and industry best practice across Operational Services. The role will involve: Carrying out compliance monitoring, workplace inspections, audits and on-the-job assessments to ensure employees, contractors and services operate safely and meet statutory and Council requirements. Identifying non-compliance and improvement opportunities and providing practical advice and recommendations. Developing and delivering health and safety training, inductions, refresher training, toolbox talks and competency assessments. Investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, complaints and procedural breaches, identifying root causes and corrective actions. Providing assurance that operations meet requirements of the HSE, DVSA, Environment Agency and other relevant statutory bodies. Role Accountabilities Compliance and Monitoring Conduct planned and unannounced audits, inspections and site visits across Waste, Street Cleansing, Horts and associated Operational Services.
