Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Norwich, supporting pupils with complex needs, including PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday and WednesdayThis is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a nurturing and well-supported learning environment.About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and a multidisciplinary team to support pupils with a wide range of complex learning, physical, and communication needs. The role will involve providing both academic support and personal care, ensuring every pupil can access learning in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils with PMLD/SLD in a small, specialist class settingAssist with personal care, feeding, and mobility where requiredHelp deliver tailored learning activities in line with EHCPsSupport communication using alternative methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS, sensory approaches - training can be provided)Promote a calm, structured, and positive learning environmentWork collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staffThe Ideal CandidateExperience supporting children or young people with additional needs (PMLD/SLD experience desirable but not essential)A patient, empathetic, and proactive approachComfortable supporting with personal careStrong teamwork and ..... full job details .....
