Complex Care Trainer

Cityworx are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established complex care provider, who are looking for a full time Trainer to cover the training needs for their care staff based in their office in the Southwark area.

As the Trainer you will ensure that HCAs-and Nurses are fully trained and competent to deliver safe, effective care to clients with complex health needs in community settings across the UK.

Working from a Central-London office, you-will be required to travel nationwide to deliver face-to-face training and assessments. The role includes responsibility for delivering both mandatory and specialist clinical training and supporting the operational team in identifying and sourcing suitable training venues outside of London.-

The role as the-Trainer will include:

  • Deliver face-to-face training to HCAs and Nurses across multiple UK locations, including at the London office and other regional venues.
  • Support the Head of Training with planning and developing training sessions to be delivered to the field-based teams
  • Support the Head of Training with the delivery of corporate training sessions including (but not limited to): GDPR, System Training, Sleep Hygiene
  • Deliver core and specialist training topics including tracheostomy care, ventilator support, PEG/enteral feeding, medication administration, epilepsy management, moving & handling, and safeguarding.
  • Conduct practical clinical skills assessments and competency checks in line with organisational standards and clinical governance requirements.
  • Support the induction and onboarding of new care staff through structured training pathways.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify training needs and ensure staff are trained in line with their care packages.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, assessment outcomes, and refresher due dates.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adapt delivery methods to ensure engagement and retention of learning.
  • Keep up to date with current legislation, guidelines, and best practice in community complex care and training delivery.
  • Source, book, and set up appropriate training venues in areas outside of London as required.
  • Provide ongoing support, coaching, and development opportunities to care staff to promote clinical excellence and confidence.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training, PTLLS or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering clinical or healthcare-related training to care staff or nurses.
  • Sound knowledge of key complex care procedures (e.g., tracheostomy, ventilation, enteral feeding, medication administration).
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationwide for training delivery, including overnight stays when required.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently in a field-based role.
  • UK driving licence and access to a car for travel.
