Complex Care Assistant

About the Role:

You will be working closely with an individual who requires 1:1 care in their own home, supporting their physical and emotional well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone''s life by promoting dignity, independence, and comfort.

-Key Responsibilities:

• Providing tracheostomy care and suctioning, in line with clinical protocols

• Monitoring respiratory function and identifying signs of distress

• Personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting

• Medication administration and PEG feeding (if applicable)

• Supporting mobility and repositioning to prevent pressure areas

• Emotional support and companionship

• Accurate record keeping and communication with the wider healthcare team

Requirements:

• Proven experience with tracheostomy care (clinical competency required)

• Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care)

• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

• Flexibility with shifts and a commitment to continuity of care

Requires drivers license and own car
