Our BGC Trader and BGC Market Data platforms offer financial technology solutions, market data and analytics related to financial instruments and markets.Main Purpose of the Role:To fully support the Head of Compensation Accounting to cover all aspects of Payroll and LLP Accounting and related reporting primarily for the BGC operations in the UK. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued development of the Compensation Accounting team whilst raising the bar in terms of quality and control.Key Responsibilities:Ensure the integrity of Compensation-related PandL and Balance Sheet through monthly postings to the GL, followed by analytical review and reconciliations.Review and process all payroll-related accounting entries in the GL (salary, bonuses, dividends, stock sales, and cash breaks) on a monthly basis.Collaborate with HR/Payroll to obtain timely information for accurate accounting treatment.Maintain LLP member capital accounts and related reporting.Act as main liaison with external bank regarding LLP member capital loans.Provide information to the Partnership Tax team for ‘Salaried Member rules’ assessments.Reconcile and report on profit allocations and tax liabilities with the Partnership Tax team.Handle share-based accounting for the LLP structure, including equity sales.Collaborate with HR, Business Managers, Partnership Tax, and Financial Reporting teams to meet reporting deliverables.Support auditors with timely files and responses.Safeguard integrity of confidential name detail information.Identify and implement process improvements, including documentation of policies and procedures.Provide ad-hoc support to the Compensation Accounting Manager.Stay alert to Conduct Risk issues, specifically risks to client interests, market integrity, and competition due to inappropriate practices or behaviours.Skills / Experience Required:Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience), ideally within UK financial services.Excellent technical skills.Strong understanding of UK personal tax and reporting requirements.Solid academic background with evidence of career progression.Prior Compensation and Payroll Accounting experience, ideally within LLP structures.Knowledge of Equity Compensation preferred.Strong control mentality, accounting, analytical, and reporting skills.Deadline-driven, organised, and able to prioritise effectively.Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders across the Group.Proactive attitude, responsibility-taking, and strong attention to detail.Supervisory skills advantageous.System Knowledge:Experience with Essbase and Oracle General Ledger (preferred).Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Personal Attributes:Excellent personal presentation and confidence in fast-paced environments.Ownership mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team.Proactive, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.Decisive, with ability to escalate issues when necessary.Self-starter who asks questions and seeks solutions.Strong judgement to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.Seniority level
