Company Accountant (Part-time)

Part-Time Company Accountant (30 Hours Per Week)Leeds £40,000 - £50,000 FTE (Dependent on Experience)Robert Half Finance and Accounting are recruiting for a Part-Time Company Accountant to join a successful and growing SME based in Leeds.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a hands-on role that will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function. This position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys operating in a varied role and being actively involved in all aspects of the accounts process.The RoleKey responsibilities of the Company Accountant will include:Managing the purchase ledger and accounts payable processOverseeing sales ledger and accounts receivableBank reconciliationsPreparing and submitting VAT returnsCash flow forecasting and reportingPayroll preparation and liaison with external payroll providersMaintaining accurate financial recordsProducing management information for the Managing DirectorAssisting with month-end processes and year-end preparationSupporting the wider business with finance-related queriesThe Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will:Have previous experience in a standalone or hands-on finance role within an SME environmentBe comfortable managing a broad finance remit with minimal supervisionHave strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledgeBe highly organised with excellent attention to detailPossess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior stakeholdersBe proficient ..... full job details .....
