Overview

CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Southend-on-Sea CAMHS Team, based at Skyline Plaza, 45 Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6BB. This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with 7.5 DCC and 2.5 SPA. There is also the option for an additional PA. This post is currently vacant, and recruitment is ongoing.You will join a 0.8wte Specialty Doctor within the service and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.Key Details

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Southend-on-SeaProvide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with young people and their families and liaise with other CAMHS providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the on-call rota (currently 1:7, 2% basic salary, Category B on-call supplement)Support peers and the team leader and be an effective team member while allowing others to work with their own initiativeCollaborate with 0.8wte Specialty DoctorCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social care professionals and agenciesPerson Specification
