Community Centre Caretaker - Carrickfergus We are currently recruiting for a Community Centre Caretaker based in Carrickfergus, starting ASAP on a temporary basis. Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour Hours: 10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours in line with centre bookings. Key Duties Ensure the community centre and surrounding areas are kept clean, secure and well maintained. Carry out regular cleaning duties and maintain adequate stocks of cleaning materials and equipment. Open and lock the premises, acting as the primary key holder and responding to call-outs when required. Provide on-site cover for bookings and activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. Control access to the building and support the security of the premises. Respond to enquiries from centre users and members of the public, providing excellent customer service. Liaise with community groups and organisations using the facilities. Set up and dismantle rooms, equipment and furniture for centre bookings and events. Report accidents, incidents, repairs and maintenance issues promptly. Conduct routine checks of fire safety equipment and emergency systems. Maintain equipment inventories and complete relevant records and administrative tasks. Support Council events and participate in mandatory training. Work flexibly as part of the wider Community Planning and Development team.
