Community and Events Fundraising Officer North London Hospice has been caring for local people since 1984, providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, and increasingly within Camden and Islington. Our services are completely free of charge however it now costs more than £16m a year to run our charity. We rely on the generosity of our community through donations and our shops to make up the shortfall in funding. Role Purpose Reporting to the Community and Events Manager, you will play a key role in growing income through community fundraising initiatives and delivering an exciting and expanding portfolio of events. This varied role combines creative promotion of fundraising opportunities, excellent supporter relationship management, and the planning and coordination of successful events. No two days will be the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities Community Fundraising and Events Support the Community and Events Manager to develop and deliver a portfolio of community fundraising activities and fundraising events. Provide guidance and support to individuals, groups and organisations fundraising for the Hospice, helping them maximise income and deliver successful activities.
