Communications Specialist (12 Month FTC Maternity Cover) and#(phone number removed); Durham area and#(phone number removed); Circa £32,000 and#(phone number removed); Interviews: w/c 1st June Start Date: June/July 2026 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Communications Specialist to join a well-established and highly reputable organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This is a varied, hands-on and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and confidently manage PR, media relations, social media, internal communications and digital content. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting communications activity across multiple sites throughout the North East and Yorkshire region. The Role Write engaging press releases, website content, social media posts and internal communications Manage PR activity, including media outreach and relationship building with press contacts Conduct interviews with employees, stakeholders and project teams to gather content for PR opportunities and case studies Coordinate photography opportunities and media visits on site Manage and grow LinkedIn and wider social media activity Support website updates and digital content management Work closely with internal stakeholders to gain approvals and ensure consistent brand messaging Travel to various sites across the North East and Yorkshire as required About You Previous experience within Communications, ..... full job details .....
