Communications Officer
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Communications Officer to join Derby City Council on an initialo 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid based role working 1 day per week in the Derby City Council office. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver creative, insight-led communication and marketing campaigns that support the Council''s priorities and objectives. Write engaging news articles, press releases, media statements, website content and promotional materials. Manage media enquiries and build positive relationships with local, regional and national press. Organise and attend media events and photocalls, acting as a key point of contact for journalists. Support the delivery of internal communications across a range of platforms. Create engaging content for digital channels, including social media and website updates. Film and edit short-form video content where required. Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement and reach Requirements Previous experience working in a Communications, PR, Marketing or Media role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality content for a variety of audiences.
