Communications and Impact Manager

Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications and Staff EngagementDevelop and implement internal communication strategies that enhance transparency, alignment, and employee engagement.Craft compelling newsletters, leadership updates, and internal messaging to ensure employees are informed and inspired.Organise town halls, internal events, and companywide team-building activities to reinforce company culture and values.Establish and oversee cross-functional working groups to drive internal engagement, innovation, and collaboration across departments.Lead employee feedback initiatives in partnership with the People team, such as surveys, roundtables, and recognition programs, to strengthen engagement.Work to create a consistent communications brand/voice within the business.
ESG and ImpactIn partnership with the Chief of Staff:Ensure key milestones are met for the ESG strategy, as set by the CoS, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company objectives.Oversee sustainability and social impact projects, engaging employees in meaningful initiatives alongside the employee taskforces of Sustainability, EDI and CHR for Society.Manage applications for key ESG awards and certifications [e.g. Eco Vadis and CDP], working with colleagues across the business on content collation and tracking milestones.Track ESG performance metrics and impact reporting alongside the Quality and Compliance team, ensuring clarity in internal and external communications about achievements and impact.
Additional ResponsibilitiesChange Management and Leadership SupportIn partnership with the Senior Executive Team:Support leadership in navigating organisational change, ensuring clear and effective messaging.Support on crisis communication plans, and PR, providing rapid, transparent responses to key challenges.Partner with internal stakeholders on culture transformation and well-being initiatives, ensuring an inclusive and forward-looking workplace.
Website and Digital ContentIn partnership with external Marketing agency:Oversee the company website, ensuring content is up to date, sourcing from internal teams, and aligned with brand messaging.Facilitate content creation with colleagues and vendors, overseeing consistency across platforms for external digital communications.Showcase CHR’s employee value proposition via digital channels, in partnership with the People team [e.g. LinkedIn Life, social media, Careers page, etc].Continually enhance website functionality, accessibility, and user experience.Develop and maintain content for blogs, news updates, and employee resources, in partnership with other Central Functions teams.Track website analytics and engagement metrics, using insights to refine communication plans.
Employer Branding and Talent EngagementIn partnership with the People team:Strengthen the company’s employer brand in partnership with the People team, ensuring a compelling narrative across recruitment and onboarding materials.Collaborate with enhance employee experience, ensuring engagement from onboarding through career development.Manage LinkedIn and other digital channels to showcase company culture, values, and sustainability efforts.Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to ensure company events and communications [inc. newsletters, memos, rollouts, e.g. Policy updates] are inclusive, accessible and reflect staff feedback.Partner with internal staff taskforces to foster a culture of belonging and representation.Develop internal awareness campaigns to promote and support a forward thinking, and inclusive work culture.A proven track record in the areas of strategic or corporate communications and employee engagement, ideally within a professional services consultancy or SME setting.Passion for purpose driven, and values-based environments, with awareness and interest in ESG; some direct experience in this area would be welcome but not essential.Strong sense of tone, voice and audience understanding.Excellent writing, storytelling and visual communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence leadership and drive cultural change.A proactive and collaborative mindset with exceptional organisational and project management skills, able to turn ideas in action.Strong data management and reporting skills, with experience overseeing website updates and analytics.Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to prioritise in a fast paced, hands-on environment.Experience of using digital tools [e.g. WordPress, PowerPoint, Teams, HubSpot, AI, Google Analytics, etc.]
Compensation and BenefitsCHR''s head office is in Shoreditch, London and provides the opportunity to work within our hybrid working model. Due to the nature of this role, we anticipate 2-3 days per week on-site in our London office.
