Communication Support Worker (CSW) - Further Education CollegeLocation: Tameside, ManchesterStart Date: September 2026Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Agency Placement)Pay Rate: £25 - £27 per hour (dependent on experience/ BSL qualification)We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established further education college in Greater Manchester for a skilled and dedicated Communication Support Worker (CSW) to join their team from September 2026.This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), with a particular focus on learners who are Deaf or have hearing impairments.The Role: As a Communication Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring students can fully access learning by facilitating effective communication between learners and teaching staff.Students may present with:Hearing impairments / Deaf learnersAutism Spectrum Condition (ASC)Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needsAdditional learning difficultiesYour responsibilities will include:Providing British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation in lessonsSupporting students on a 1:1 and small group basisAdapting communication methods to suit individual learner needsAssisting with note-taking and clarification of lesson contentPromoting student independence and inclusion within the classroomWorking collaboratively with teaching staff and support teamsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Minimum Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language ..... full job details .....
