What''s involved?
- Ensuring the restaurant is fully stocked and prepared ahead of service
- Providing professional and attentive wine service throughout the guest experience
- Developing detailed knowledge of the wine list and beverage offering
- Assisting guests with wine choices and making appropriate recommendations
- Supporting wine tastings and training sessions
- Maintaining wine service equipment to the highest standard
- Being aware of bookings, guest preferences and special requirements
- Supporting the wider front-of-house team with beverage knowledge and service
- Maintaining consistently high standards throughout every service
Sound like the role for you?
We''re looking for a Commis Sommelier who has:
- A genuine passion for wine and fine dining
- Previous experience within a fine-dining restaurant, luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment preferred
- A strong desire to learn and develop their wine knowledge
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- A keen eye for detail and a professional approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ambition to build a career within fine dining
- WSET qualifications would be desirable but are not essential
