Escape Recruitment is working with an established UK manufacturer who is recruiting a Commodity Manager to join their Procurement and Materials Team at their headquarters.This is a senior commercial role with full ownership of a defined Commodity Group and its supplier base.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute commodity strategiesTake full commercial responsibility for your supplier portfolioLead, develop and mentor a team of Category Buyers and a Procurement EngineerAct as an escalation point for high-level supplier issuesDrive supplier performance across cost, quality and deliveryMake pragmatic commercial decisions to protect production continuitySupport Design Engineering with early supplier involvement and Design for CostManage supply risk and ensure stability of supplyExperience and knowledge required for the role:Proven experience in commodity management within manufacturingExperience of leading and mentoring successful teamsStrong background in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship managementProven commercial acumen and negotiation capabilityExperience influencing cross-functional stakeholdersConfident decision-maker in a fast-paced production environmentDegree qualified in Engineering or Business (MCIPS desirable) BenefitsCar allowance + Bonus37-hour week - Early Friday FinishHybrid working (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)26 days holiday + bank holidaysCIPS and leadership development supportThis is a high-profile opportunity for an experienced Commodity ..... full job details .....
