Commodity Buyer

A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Commodity Buyer to join their dedicated purchasing team. You will be empowered to manage and nurture supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, drive continuous improvement across the supply chain, and oversee end-to-end procurement processes for a diverse range of materials and services. This is an onsite role with car parking available to ease your commute into the office.What You''ll Do:As a Commodity Buyer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Managing and developing relationships with UK suppliers.Leading Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes to secure competitive pricing for all procurement activities.Identifying mutually beneficial opportunities for LTA''s with vendors, focusing on annual pricing structures and efficient call-off processes.Conducting annual pricing negotiations to ensure strategic alignment between suppliers and organisational objectives.Coordinating regular reviews of supplier performance both internally and externally.Generating and analysing complex data sets related to spend reviews, project updates, and cost-saving opportunities, and presenting those findings to management.What You Bring:To excel as a Commodity Buyer in this organisation, you will bring the following experience:Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment where production planning and purchasing are managed via an electronic ERP system is essential.Proven track record running RFQ processes from ..... full job details .....
