As a Corporate Commodity Sales professional in the Corporate Commodity Sales team in London, you will lead client interactions and drive the execution of commodity trades within the energy sector, focusing on physical power and gas. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients to deliver tailored solutions. You will help shape our sales strategy and enhance our client offerings. Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs
Oversee the trade execution process, ensuring accuracy in trade booking, order taking, and compliance with regulatory standards
Mentor junior team members in best practice for trade execution
Analyse market trends and drivers to identify new business opportunities
Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives that align with market conditions and client needs
Partner with trading, research, corporate banking, and risk management teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
Facilitate effective communication between departments to enhance client service
Lead efforts to refine and optimise the sales process
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth
Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
Significant experience in commodities sales (ideally 8+ years), with a focus on physical power and gas
Ability to analyse complex market data and trends to inform strategic decisions and client recommendations
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and effectively
Solid leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset and experience mentoring junior colleagues
Deep understanding of client needs and the ability to deliver exceptional service
Advanced proficiency in analytical tools and knowledge of credit risk related metrics
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance, Experience working with clients across the energy sector, particularly in physical power and gas
Familiarity with e-platform sales solutions in commodities trading
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global organisation
Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies in commodities or finance
Demonstrated success in optimising sales processes and driving efficiency
Fluency in English and other European languages
