What you''ll be doing As a Committee Specialist: Health and Social Care Committee within the House of Commons, you''ll work at the heart of parliamentary democracy, supporting Members of Parliament to scrutinise government policy and drive meaningful debate on issues that affect millions of people. This is a unique and high-profile role where your work can shape national conversations, from examining NHS performance and social care reform to influencing policy that impacts everyday lives.Working within the Select Committee Team, you''ll collaborate closely with MPs from across the political spectrum, providing impartial, evidence-based policy advice and analysis. You''ll play a key role in inquiries, identifying expert witnesses, preparing briefing materials, advising during committee sessions, and drafting impactful reports that can influence government thinking and public understanding.You''ll also have opportunities to develop your expertise, lead on elements of committee work, organise events and visits, and build relationships with senior stakeholders across the public, private and third sectors.This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with an expectation of you spending 40% of your time in the office.
