Commissioning Manager

Overview

Our client is currently looking for ECandI Commissioning Managers within the Berkshire area. The role can be worked Outside of IR35 and will be a long-term position, with rates commensurate to experience. Candidates will require SC clearance or be eligible to gain SC clearance and have the willingness to develop this into DV clearance if required.Responsibilities

Oversee commissioning for the ECandI aspects of a variety of systems including BMS, HVAC and Process Plant Equipment (based on Siemens S7 PLC system).Manage the production, review and approval of commissioning documentation including BMS, Electrical and Software documentation.Manage issues found during the commissioning process through the commissioning reservation process.Ensure safe procedures are applied consistently for all testing and commissioning across allocated work packages.Witness Factory Acceptance Testing, Setting to Work and Site Acceptance Testing.Manage, oversee and deliver commissioning work packages within a complex infrastructure project.Support the management and deployment of the Overall Project Commissioning Strategy.Plan and coordinate commissioning tests with the Suppliers.Integrate test requirements and prerequisites into the project programme.Prepare and present regular commissioning progress updates.Manage changes to commissioning schedules, resources and forecasts.Chair commissioning reviews with stakeholders including design reviews, change reviews and procedure reviews.About you / Qualifications

Substantial ECandI experience of commissioning BMS systems, vent plant or similar and experience in leading commissioning teams to deliver successful outcomes.Proven track record in complex project delivery, in defence (preferred) or similar technical sectors.Strong client and stakeholder relationship building skills.Knowledge and application of commissioning methodologies.Ability to operate autonomously and as part of a larger team.Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.Full UK driving licence.Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry.Sound technical knowledge and leadership experience.Aptitude to work within a multi-disciplinary team, with an appreciation of mechanical/civil and process systems.Advantageous Experience / Knowledge

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.Low Voltage Electrical Distribution design.Earthing and Lightning design.Knowledge of safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513).Knowledge of Functional Safety and Reliability and related topics.Other
