Commissioning Engineer

Overview

Commissioning Engineer £55k - £60k + overtime + benefits. East Midlands / London (Hounslow / Heathrow Airport).Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems, primarily to the transportation, airport and power infrastructure industry. They are seeking to recruit experienced Commissioning Engineer professionals to complement their team of electrical and control professionals. The role involves working a combination of days and nights, primarily at London Heathrow in Hounslow, and supporting the commissioning stages of multiple projects with a smooth handover to the customer.

Responsibilities

Check installation of equipment is to the correct standard prior to starting testing.

Perform testing of a system according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.

Conduct PLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.

Set up field devices and perform site acceptance tests, fault finding and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues.

Produce documentation such as RAMs; test documentation; weekly progress reports, etc.

Attend site progress meetings, toolbox talks and provide professional representation of the business during client-facing test conditions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Demonstrated at least 2 years of relevant commissioning experience.

Qualified to at least Level 3 Apprenticeship, City and Guilds or above in electrical or control engineering.

Hold a full UK driving licence.

No criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities.
