Location: Head office Colwyn Bay – Role is UK travel, working away from home required.
Salary: Will come with Additional on Target earnings, Company Van and Fuel card, Working away allowance and Meal allowance.
Employment type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 47.5 hours per week

About the role…
ExcelCS part of the Ipsum Group is a specialist water industry contractor delivering high-quality commissioning, testing, and compliance services across the UK. We work closely with major water authorities and framework partners, including Welsh Water, Severn Trent, United Utilities and most major contractors, supporting the delivery of safe, reliable, and fully compliant water infrastructure.
W are seeking two experienced Water Mains Commissioning Engineers to join our dynamic team within the water industry. These roles offer strong earning potential, varied work locations across the UK, and long-term career stability.

As a Commissioning Engineer you will…
- Independently commission newly installed water mains
- Work across projects throughout the UK
- Swabbing, pressure testing, chlorination, dechlorination, sampling, and GPS plotting of installed water mains
- Accurately record and submit commissioning data using company systems
About you…
- Experience in water mains commissioning
- SHEA Water National Water Hygiene
- Knowledge of IGN 4-01-03 Type 2 pressure testing for PE pipe
- Commissioning qualifications (EUSR, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Familiarity with app-based systems and GPS plotting is an advantage
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work away from home across the UK
- Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
