Commissioning Engineer

MERITUS are recruiting for a Controls Engineer to support in Test andamp; Validation activities for a major systems integration business based in Telford. The role will require international travel to sites in countries such as Japan and Germany. This role is focused on bridging the gap between project completion and operational handover, ensuring systems are fully tested, validated, commissioned and optimised for customer use.The successful candidate will play a key role in software development, system integration, commissioning, customer support, and training activities, working on projects both within the UK and internationally.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify PLC software using Allen Bradley Rockwell and Siemens S7/TIA Portal platforms.Design and implement structured control software including Ladder Logic, Statement List and Function Blocks.Configure and commission industrial communication networks including Ethernet, Modbus and Profibus.Set up and commission AC/DC drives, inverters and associated control systems.Apply PID control ..... full job details .....
