Our client; a leading transport and logistics provider across the UK is a well established business specialising in national haulage and warehousing distribution and bespoke supply chain contracts. They manage integrated haulage and warehousing through multiple key hubs for a range of clients utilising a modern IT system and own fleet.

Description

To focus on further business growth a Depot Manager is now required for the site in Lanarkshire to both manage the daily operations of the depot, and maximise the site potential through maximising client opportunities.

• Supervise and coordinate transport and distribution activities to meet customer expectations.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement in logistics processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all depot activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise resource allocation and cost efficiency.
• Lead and motivate depot staff to achieve operational goals and maintain high service standards.
• Prepare and present operational reports to senior management as required.
• Address and resolve any operational challenges in a timely manner.

Profile

A successful Depot Manager should have:

• Proven experience in transport and distribution operations management in a General Haulage Business.
• Strong client engagement skills and the ability to impact operational performance.
• A strong understanding of logistics processes and compliance requirements.
