Commercial Waste Operations Supervisor

Thrive Group Bolton are seeking a proactive and organised individual to supervise our Commercial Waste Collection Service and operational team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily waste collection operations, ensuring routes are completed and issues resolved promptly.

• Supervise and support staff, including performance management, training, and team briefings.

• Assist Team Leaders with daily service delivery.

• Promote the service, develop customer accounts, and identify new business opportunities.

• Monitor resources, budgets, and resolve payment-related queries.

• Manage contracts, ensuring compliance with waste management regulations.

• Handle customer enquiries, records, and support debt recovery processes.

• Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times.

• Track service performance, produce reports, and meet SLA and complaint resolution targets.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong leadership skills, operational experience, previous sales experience and a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
• Ability to demonstrate detailed working knowledge of the Sales and tendering processes for Waste Services in the commercial sector
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 with some slight flexibility.

Required to start immediately after successful interview.

This role is on a temporary sickness cover basis, however has the potential to be long term/permanent.
