Commercial Manager

Role PurposeTo lead the commercial and contractual dimension at the CouncilResponsibilitiesOversee budget planning, cost forecasting, and financial reporting for housing and maintenance teams.Manage variations, contract change control, price increases and risks associated with public contract regulations 2015Track and manage budget versus actual spend, ensuring contract compliance on prices/effective monthly review of invoicesSupport the material and contractors costs to ensure spend is kept within budget Proactively manage supplier relationships, providing ancillary support to the operational delivery teams.Responsible for all post-contract Supplier Relationship Management activities.Mitigate financial and contractual risks.Ensure all products purchased meet operational requirements and specifications.Undertake analysis of Electronic Van Stock usage and align to on contract spendLead on the assessment and appraisal of new and existing suppliersBenchmark cost structures and performance against regional/local data.Working with Operational teams, continually strive to rationalise material usage and minimise and eliminate off contract spend.To review current ordering processes in line with Quality Management systemsDevelop innovative delivery solutions to meet a 24/7 operational maintenance business.RequirementsProven commercial management within social housing or building maintenance.Applicants should ideally be MCIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement and SupplySubstantial ..... full job details .....
