Commercial Manager

Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading defence focused organisation in Bristol. This is a hands on role supporting key defence programmes, requiring strong knowledge of UK defence contracting frameworks and the ability to operate at pace in a complex delivery environment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end commercial activities across defence contracts and programmesEnsure compliance with SSCR (Single Source Contract Regulations)Administer and negotiate DEFCONs within contractual agreementsApply and interpret DEFSTANs across programme deliveryLead procurement activities, including supplier negotiation and contract placementManage full Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), from bid through to close-outSupport risk, pricing, and commercial governance across projectsWork closely with delivery, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure contractual alignmentMaintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal and external partners Key Requirements Strong background in defence sector commercial / procurement rolesProven experience working with SSCR, DEFCONs, and DEFSTANsExperience in procurement and supplier negotiationUnderstanding of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) principlesAbility to work in a fast-paced, regulated environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management ..... full job details .....
