Commercial Manager- Rugby The Role Responsible for end-to-end commercial management, including contract negotiation, risk management, claims strategy, and financial performance. Working closely with Business Managers, Project Management, and Sales teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially effectively, and with risk appropriately managed. Responsibilities Support and advise on commercial strategy for major contracts, particularly Hydro and large new-build projects. Interpret, negotiate, and manage complex contract terms (NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke agreements). Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, customers, and suppliers. Develop and maintain agreed Terms and Conditions for major customers. Ensure strong commercial governance from bid through to project close-out. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations. Manage change control, variations, and compensation events. Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities. Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support claims and dispute resolution. Lead the management and resolution of disputes, claims, and potential litigation, working with HQ Commercial and external legal counsel. Interface with HQ Commercial to align strategies and protect the business position. Support project teams to ensure correct insurance coverage is in place.
