Commercial Manager - Defence

The Commercial Manager will provide leadership and shape successful business propositions and growth, identify potential risks and liabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Location - Whiteley, Hampshire

Key responsibilities for Commercial Manager and will not limited to:

• Acted as the primary commercial interface, leading contract drafting, negotiations, and relationship management.
• Developed and managed a range of agreements including sales contracts, NDAs, licences, and consortium agreements.
• Provided contract management support through delivery, including interpretation, milestone tracking, dispute resolution, price reviews, and change control.
• Ensured diligent contract administration, covering disputes, variations, and change orders.
• Produced accurate, compliant customer pricing using appropriate pricing strategies and cost models.
• Supported business development and delivery as part of the Legal & Commercial Services team.
• Guided internal governance processes, preparing bid approval documentation.
• Developed and executed negotiation strategies, collaborating with Legal to ensure compliance with legislation and company policy.

• Strong commercial, and contract management expertise, with proven ability in drafting, negotiation, and advisory work.
• Skilled in financial analysis and identifying opportunities, risks, and drivers of organisational success.
• Brings strong commercial acumen, judgement, and pragmatism, with experience in risk mitigation and relationship management.
• Highly analytical, quick to learn, and effective at prioritising a broad range of contractual and commercial matters.
