Commercial Manager - Permanent Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Salary: c 70,000 DOE Hours: 37 hours per week Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 Friday 08:00-12:00 (home working available most Fridays) The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing engineering and project delivery business. Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead the commercial function across multiple projects, ensuring robust commercial controls, contract compliance, profitability and cash flow performance. You will work closely with Project Managers, Planners and wider stakeholders to support successful project delivery while developing and mentoring the commercial team. This is primarily an office-based role in Bolton, with regular visits to project sites, clients, suppliers and other company locations as required. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop the commercial team to meet current and future business requirements. Provide commercial and contractual guidance across the business and project teams. Ensure effective management of cash flow, debtors, WIP and profitability. Manage contract change control, variations and scope changes in a timely manner. Produce accurate forecasts and reports covering cost, turnover, profit and cash receipts. Identify, manage and report commercial risks and opportunities across projects.
