Commercial Manager (6 Month Contract)

OverviewWorking closely with our Sales Managers, you play a critical role in securing new contracts from within our large Platinum client base. You will also have an opportunity to work closely with our internal designers to produce specifications and proposals that are Best-in-Class and ultimately, fulfil our clients'' vision and requirements, whilst maximizing GP. The role manages everything pre-contract, with a core part being to ensure all projects are specified with 100% accuracy for our Operational teams to fulfil (with no turnbacks). You will line manage a Commercial Estimator who will support you with the smaller projects to leave you free to manage the larger projects.
Responsibilities
Understanding clients'' key drivers and vision for a project, working with the Designers to put this vision into reality
Surveying project sites to understand conditions, measurements and how to deliver the project
Proposal sign-off and presentation to client (together with Sales Manager). Ensure 100% pricing and specification accuracy prior to quoting, whilst maximizing GP
Ensure clear client communication throughout the opportunity process, keeping CRM up-to-date and forecasting accurate
Specification sign-off to ensure 100% accuracy of project handover to procurement and operational teams with no turnbacks
The role is offered on an initial 6-month fixed term contract working 40 hours per week, based out of our HQ in Henham (CM22 6AA), enjoying a rural location, where lunch is provided onsite daily and ample parking.
Experience and Qualifications
Experience working in a commercial sales role with accountability for pre-contract work
Evidence of working in a related project-led business model
Proven experience of supervisor or team management
